Athina Papadopoulou

Athina Papadopoulou is an Events & Partnerships Coordinator. She is responsible for the organisation and delivery of impactful and dynamic events and for maintaining and strengthening strategic partnerships for LIBER. In her role, Athina strives to bring together representatives of the LIBER network and facilitate an environment of sharing knowledge and shaping the future for research libraries in Europe. She is a firm supporter of Open Science and of research libraries as the frontrunners in paving the way to sustain and empower knowledge in innovative ways. Prior to joining LIBER, Athina worked as a Research Assistant at the University Library of Leiden where she became enthusiastic about the academic library’s roles and responsibilities as well as its place in the ever-growing and changing academic environment. Athina comes from Greece and holds a BA in English Language & Literature as well as a MA in Book & Digital Media from Leiden University.
