Giovanni Comandé is Professor of Private Comparative Law at Scuola Superiore S. Anna Pisa, Italy. Phd. SSSA, LLM Harvard Law School, Founder and Director of the LIDER-LAB (www.lider-lab.org).

He has been visiting professor at Washington and Lee School of Law, USA (summer 2014); Fordham School of Law, (2012); Université Panthéon Assas Paris II, Faculté de Droit (2007); The Hebrew University (2005); Wake Forrest University School of Law, USA (Fall 2003); Yale Law School (1995), teaching among other topics Comparative Electronic Business Law, and Privacy.

He was Jean Monnet Chair of Human Rights and Remedies for Personal Injuries in European Community Law: An Interdisciplinary Approach (1994-2001). Author of 5 monographs, he has edited or co-edited 13 collective works, published more than 80 articles and notes in major law reviews, and contributed with chapters to collective publications in Italian, English and Spanish. He is currently Consultative Member of the American Law Institute for Information Privacy.
